The plea’s of a tired heart

Have you ever found yourself

At a point

Where you ask

What more do I have to do
To be worth it?

What more do I have to do

To be number one?

How much more
Of myself do I have to give

To come first?

This is a plea of a tired heart

That can’t take much more
Of life

And its cruel jokes.

A tired heart that has given all

But finished last every time,
A tired heart

That has bore

Everything

And received nothing.
How much more

Do you expect it to take

Before it is ok for it

To give way?
Honesty,

Transparency

And a kind soul

Is what is needed
But deceit

Clouded intentions

And a selfish soul

Is what was given.
For now

There is no

Happy ending to this story

Is that not sad?
